MOROCCO

It is hard to photograph Morocco. It is capricious, it is mercurial and impulsive, volatile, unpredictable, fierce and whimsical. Fantastical, eccentric, quirky and reactive. It is alive from its tiniest ancient mosaic tile to its grand fishing boats, from the palest nuance of coral pink of a wall in the Medina, to the deepest shade of indigo-blue on the clothing of the Tuareg people. It is visually mesmerizing. Moroccans are always on the watch, always attentive. There was not even one dreamy gaze in the powerful eyes of the locals. You cannot relax as a photographer, you are on a hunt, and you must turn into a devious thief in order to catch a glimpse of this unique country’s essence.
